There are four stages to our Industrial Placement recruitment process:
Submit your CV and answer a few questions to help us understand your background, motivation, and interest in Aston Martin.
If your application is successful, you'll be invited to complete a 15 minute video screening interview. This helps us learn more about your experience, interests, motivations, and alignment with our values.
Successful candidates will be invited to attend a face-to-face interview at one of our Aston Martin sites. This is a great opportunity to meet the team, explore the working environment, experience our culture first-hand, and gain a better understanding of what it's like to work here. You'll also take part in a competency-based interview and may be asked role-specific or technical questions depending on the placement area.
Following the interview, we'll review all candidate feedback and let you know the outcome. Regardless of the result, candidates who attend an onsite interview will receive constructive verbal feedback to support their future development. Successful candidates will receive a formal offer and begin onboarding.
We'll keep you updated throughout the process and let you know whether you're progressing at each stage.
The process starts with an online application. If your skills, potential, and interests align with the placement opportunity, you'll be invited to a video interview followed by a face-to-face interview at one of our sites.
You'll usually complete a video interview first. If successful, you'll then be invited to an onsite interview where you'll meet the hiring team, learn more about the role, and experience the working environment. Depending on the placement, technical questions may also form part of the interview.
Unlike a traditional assessment centre, our Industrial Placement recruitment process includes an onsite interview. This gives you the opportunity to see where you'll be working, meet members of the team, ask questions, and get a feel for Aston Martin's culture and environment. We believe this helps both you and us determine whether the placement is the right fit.
Research Aston Martin, our products, values, and recent developments. Be prepared to discuss your academic studies, projects, work experience, extracurricular activities, and examples that demonstrate skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, initiative, and resilience. Most importantly, be ready to explain why you'd like to complete your placement with Aston Martin.
The timeframe can vary depending on the placement and volume of applications. We'll keep you informed throughout the process and update you as quickly as possible.
Candidates who attend an onsite interview will receive detailed verbal feedback. Due to the volume of applications we receive, we're unable to provide individual feedback to applicants who do not progress beyond the earlier stages of the process.
