Engineering is responsible for developing, refining, and delivering the systems, components, and technologies that bring our vehicles to life.
Engineering is where complex technical challenges are solved and where innovation is translated into real-world products.
Engineering comes in three parts: the Engineering Business Office, the Centres of Competence and Vehicle Engineering.
The Engineering Business Office is the central hub within Product Creation that enables the consistent and efficient delivery of products.
It brings together project and programme management, strategy and transformation, processes, methods and tools, cost engineering, and Bill of Materials management. It also acts as the home for functional business management across Engineering. Through this, the Engineering Business Office drives operational excellence, supports the delivery of strategy, improves profitability, and ensures consistent ways of working across the organisation.
Within Product Creation, the core engineering functions follow a shared approach to developing innovative, high-quality solutions for world-class products.
These teams act as centres of expertise for solution development and standardisation, covering components, systems, and functions. They lead virtual validation activities, develop simulation methodologies, and define tools and procedures, all while operating as empowered, cross-functional engineering teams.

Body and Chassis Engineering transforms design concepts into engineered reality, developing the structures and chassis systems that underpin vehicle performance, safety, and driving dynamics.

Software and Electrical Technologies focus on software development, electronic systems, connectivity, and overall vehicle electrical architecture. As our cars get cleverer, this is the team that keeps pace with them.
Vehicle Engineering provides central leadership for engineering delivery, ensuring that vehicles are delivered at the right quality, on time, and at the right cost.
This function spans early-stage product creation activities such as advanced design and package development, vehicle architecture, innovation, and simulation. It also plays a key role in defining and delivering the driving experience, covering both driven and non-driven attributes. In addition, it leads legislation and certification activities, ensuring vehicles meet current and future regulatory requirements, and oversees the build, testing, and management of vehicle fleets.
Vehicle Engineering sits at the core of turning concepts into fully validated, production-ready vehicles.
The SUV and Cross-Car Line support engineering delivery, programme management, and vehicle development across SUV programmes. It also includes a cross-carline capability, ensuring that technologies and components are effectively carried over across multiple programmes to drive efficiency and consistency.

The Sports Car Vehicle Line supports the delivery and development of sports car programmes, working across programme milestones, vehicle development, and engineering coordination specific to these platforms.

The Mid-Engine Vehicle Line supports programme delivery and engineering activities for mid-engine programmes, focusing on technical delivery, cross-functional coordination, and successful programme execution.
