At Aston Martin, our vehicles are defined not only by how they look and perform, but by how they make you feel. As digital technology becomes increasingly integral to the driving experience, we are looking for a UX Designer to help shape intuitive, distinctive and engaging in-vehicle experiences that reflect the character of the Aston Martin brand.
Working within our Infotainment team, you will lead the definition and delivery of user experience design across in-vehicle Human Machine Interface (HMI), taking ownership of UX concepts and roadmaps for complex features throughout the development lifecycle. You will play a key role in resolving complex design and development challenges, ensuring the user experience is delivered to the required quality, timing and programme objectives.
You will lead alignment with other departments like UI Design and HMI attributes throughout the UX concept phase and take responsibility for UX project definition, planning and delivery.
Working closely with the Head of Infotainment, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of the five-year HMI strategy, helping identify and progress relevant new technologies through to implementation within agreed timing and budget requirements. You will lead alignment with other departments throughout the UX concept phase and take responsibility for UX project definition, planning and delivery.
You will also assist the HMI attributes team to define vehicle switch maps across Aston Martin projects and collaborate with Attribute teams to establish UX targets for current and future programmes.
Customer insight will be equally important. Through customer clinics and direct engagement with key stakeholders, you will help define and refine the UX of current and future vehicles, ensuring our HMI solutions combine usability, technology and the distinctive experience expected from Aston Martin.
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong experience in HMI UX definition, concept design and UX prototyping, alongside proven project management and time-planning capability. You will be comfortable owning complex projects, managing competing priorities and working across multiple disciplines to take UX concepts from initial definition through to successful delivery.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future of the Aston Martin in-vehicle experience, combining UX design, digital innovation and automotive engineering to create technology that feels as considered and distinctive as the vehicles themselves.
